Game Description
Sydney 2000 was the official video game of the XXVII Olympic Summer Games, hosted in Sydney, Australia. It was developed by Attention to Detail and published by Eidos for multiple platforms including PlayStation, PC, and Dreamcast. A Nintendo 64 port was planned but ultimately cancelled — however, a prototype version surfaced and was scene released in 2017 by MrPinball64. The game features 12 Olympic events across 32 nations, following in the footsteps of Olympic Summer Games: Atlanta ‘96. Its N64 prototype offers a rare glimpse at what could’ve been the console’s full Olympic simulation experience.
