🕹️ Game Description
40 Winks is a dream-fueled 3D platformer starring siblings Ruff and Tumble, who must rescue magical creatures called Winks from the villainous Nitekap and his stuffed henchman Threadbear. Players explore six themed worlds — Nightmare, Pirate, Space, Castle, Underwater, and Prehistoric — unlocking transformations into Ninja, Robot, Monster, and Superhero via Jack-in-the-Box power-ups.
The game blends light combat, puzzle solving, and collectible hunting. You’ll gather Z tokens (to stay asleep), moon tokens (to scream at enemies), dream keys (to unlock boss doors), and mechanical cogs (to open passages). Originally cancelled on N64, 40 Winks was resurrected by Piko Interactive in 2018, complete with a 2-player co-op mode exclusive to the cartridge release.
